The Eye Behind The Lens

When I was in middle school I bought my first “real” camera. It was a Nikon D40 and I took it everywhere with me. I knew at that time that photography was my passion. What I didn’t know was how that passion would grow and develop..

Raised in the beautiful New England town of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, I had wonderful subjects to photograph. My skills behind a lens started with nature. I would go down to Riverside cemetery in spring and fall and photograph the landscapes and the insects with my macro lens. Those early experiences taught me so much about how to manipulate lighting and frame subjects to create the perfect composition. As I got older my subject matter shifted towards people and I landed my first job as a portrait photographer for LifeTouch studio out of Lakeville, Massachusetts. I learned so much about portrait art and working with people aging from elementary school kids to seniors in high school. I decided to stick with people as my subject matter because I learned that creating a relationship with my client in a way that made them feel extraordinary was the most fulfilling thing I could do in this world. I love that I am a part of preserving someone’s important memories forever and hope to continue down that path learning more and more as I go.
